Shinchan Nohara is the most fabulous kid I have seen ever. When I saw him first I just fell in love with this character. Though it’s a cartoon character, I feel there is this boy somewhere in the city of Japan. His grace, his stupid questions, his likes and dislikes, and those bumps on his head all are so cute. I have seen lots of cartoons but none impressed me as Shinchan did. He has kind of charisma in him. Those innocent eyes will definitely make you adore this little lad. He likes girls, chocochips, irritating his mom (though he never waste a chance to impress her), annoying his teacher (Yoshinaga Mam), sometimes getting at the nerves of his friends (Suzuki, Masao, Kazama except Nene as she is a girl, remember Shinchan loves girls), playing along and taking care of his dog (Shiro), though he often finds an excuse to avoid taking Shiro on a hike. He likes to spend time with his dad; he never forgets to disobey the rules set by his mother. most of all he likes his favorite series ‘Action Camen’. Now the list of his dislikes which is really big. He hates swellings on his head caused by his mum if he makes her to lose her head (but he always deserves them, poor fellow), more than his mum’s bumps he hates capsicum but again he will get one big bang on his head if he denies to eat them. Other than that he is a cutest kid. He is always ready to help others. Imagined a 5 year old boy asking a girl for a coffee? Well, Shinchan does that too. He is mischievous, wonderful, admirable, irresistible, enchanting boy next door. There is much more to tell about this naughty dude. I am sure you will also admire him at first sight. It’s my request to all those people who are reading my review to please catch him on Hungama TV once. I am providing a link where you can know more about Shinchan. You can Copy paste following link in your address bar to access it. http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/Palace/9536/shinchan.html

Are you a member of social networking community with possession of more than 49 million members in 2007 which is increasing day by day? Yes you guessed it right, the discussion here has only one name and that’s Orkut, the most popular and most demanding social networking website at present. Managing lot of issues and controversies Orkut is still sailing smooth. Launched by Google and invented by Turkish software engineer Orkut Buyukkokten in January 22, 2004 Orkut gained immense popularity and achieved 1,000,000 members bench mark in just one month since its launch. There are plenty of user-friendly features of this website which makes it dominating among other community websites such as Face book, Myspace, Hi-5, and so on. It is not out of the blue that Orkut is eighth most visited site throughout the world. Orkut is a way to make new friends, get along with your existing friends and at the same time get back to your old friends with whom you lost the contact. It’s also a good option to be in contact with your kith and kin and gather under one roof despite of geographical distances. Orkut’s most exciting attribute is you can create communities here and be the part of other communities. There are zillions of communities on Orkut on various topics. There are communities on foods, institutions, individuals, fashion, games and the list is never ending. The 1st 5 communities were started within 24 hours of the launch of Orkut. Due to its popularity, in the long run Orkut is facing lot of controversies. The ‘we hate India’ community on Orkut displaying burning flag of India created lot of resentment among people and matter reached the court. Many Orkut users reported the community as bogus and started many other communities like ‘we hate those who hate India’ to exhibit protest. There are lots of disadvantages of Orkut as well. The outrage of Shivsena against some cyber cafes in Kalyan and Thane highlighted another controversy related to Orkut. Some communities on Orkut against Shivsena made Shivsainiks go berserk. Considering all this fuss, Will they ban Orkut? That’s the only question remains. The question here is why others should suffer the ban on Orkut because of some notorious souls? Logging in on Orkut has become the order of the day. At the end of the day through every thick and thin it’s surviving pretty well. You may call it addiction or obsession but it’s a need of time as it saves money, time and energy to be in touch with the world.

Shinchan, Johny Bravo, Mojo Jojo, Red Ranger, Dexter, Ninja Hatori, Popey, Scooby, Buttercup, Tom & Jerry… you might wonder what’s going on here. Well these are the names of some animated marvels children enjoy the most. Bundles of cartoon channels on television are originating oodles of cartoon characters and thus attracting those naughty audiences like magnet. Animation always attracts children and thus cartoon channels are growing day by day. Cartoon Network was most watched cartoon channel which is not true anymore. Hangama, Pogo, Nick and Disney entered the race long ago and are now giving equal competition. Why these cartoon characters really attract children Violence in the cartoons makes children imitate these cartoon characters and these imitations can be really hazardous in some cases. A study suggests that toddlers are more prone to imitating what they see on the television and their habit can be controlled regulating their regular viewing behavior. Toddlers follow the habits of their parents. So, if parents trim down the time of watching television, there will be similar effects on the child’s television viewing behavior. There are some cartoon characters that simply play the role of tutors. Oswald, a blue octopus on Pogo teaches the lessons of politeness. Powerpuff Girls on Cartoon Network are always ready to fight against any wrong doing though they put forward violence in some way. Shinchan, A crazy character on Hungama sometimes put aside his mischief when he gives his mom a gift on mother’s day. Dora… the explorer on Nick explores different places with the use of map and makes a kid take equal part in her exploration of places. Madeline, a youngest girl in the group of 12 girls on Disney who lives together happily and show courage when it’s necessary. All these cartoons characters are nothing but easily available learning tools for children. Apart from violence and educational values put forward by the cartoons they are also helping much in the marketing of merchandise such as toys, clothes, bed sheets designed with various cartoon themes, bath towels with Mickey mouse prints, curtains, notebooks and even wall paint with colorful characters like Minnie Mouse and Goofy. Every kid would like to paint his room with bright colors and his or her favorite cartoon character embossed on it. Here we should highlight one fact that our very own mythological heroes are also provoking children to be aggressive. It makes clear that for every occasion, for every celebration there is a range of innovative products carried out with the use of cartoon themes. Inidian celebration, Rakshabandhan saw lot of Rakhis embellished with Japanese cartoon characters such Doremon, Pokemon, Pikachoo, Rangers and so on. Rakhis even proudly carry Indian heroes like Hanuman and Krishna. Clothes have the largest display of cartoon characters on it. Though they are used differently on girl’s wear and boy’s wear. Girls clothes are usually imprinted with dolls, Barbies, fairies like Cinderella, little mermaid and Jasmine, Buttercup, Blossom and Bubbles of Powerpuff Girls and such. On the other hand boys being rough and tough want characters like Power Rangers, Pokemon and ninja Turtles engraved on their clothes. As the difference between cartoon prints used on the clothes is there any difference in the cartoon watched by a girl and a boy? Do only boys watch violent cartoons? Do cartoons have same effects on boys and girls? There is no vast difference between cartoon watched by a girl and a boy but surely boys prefer action packed cartoon programs with furious cartoon characters where as girls opt for fantasies, fairies and less violent cartoons. In current scenario where media is ruling and animation is booming, precaution is better than prevention. One can not stop a child from viewing animated stuffs with violent content but surely can take some majors which will prevent child from being fanatic cartoon viewer. Children today are quite busy watching cartoons. Bad effects of watching cartons can be summarized. Kids today like to be couch potatoes than playing outdoor games, they behaves furiously and loose temper very easily, it effects studies in some way. But as someone said it rightly every coin has two sides to it, there are some good effects of cartoons too. Some cartoons teach about numbers and alphabets, shapes and colours, relations and manners and lot more. The question which remains here is the cartoons, friends or foes? The answer is somewhere between of the friend and a foe. They can’t be avoided, they can’t be neglected. Watching cartoons is not bad, the amount and the material you watch really matter. Cartoons can not be foes and they even can not be friends.

A man who always strikes the box office with his extraordinary energy and talent, a man who has recently changed the whole scenario of the national sport of India, a man who is guiding us to lead India, a man who added oomph in the third series of most popular game show, a man who is known as Badshah of Indian Film Industry. Yes the name is one and only one- Shahrukh khan (SRK), a King Khan. Shahrukh, an actor, a producer, a host, an anchor and finally a role model! Shahrukh Khan (born on November 2, 1965), a scorpion with enormous energy level was born in the Muslim family. Shahrukh was born to Taj Mohammed Khan and Lateef Fatima. Shahrukh’s father belonged to a famous Pashtun Niazi tribe and was a freedom activist of Punjabi Pathan background. His mother was the adopted daughter of Major General Shah Nawaz Khan of the Janjua Rajput clan, who served as a General in the Indian National Army of Subash Chandra Bose. Shahrukh has a sister and her name is Shehnaz fondly known as Lalarukh. Shahrukh Khan added lots of feathers in his cap since he started his career. Khan started his career back in 1988 with very popular serial called Fauji where he played the role of commando Abhimanyu Rai followed by another television serial in 1989 called ‘Circus’ which was based on the life of the performers in the circus. In the same year Khan acted in a minor role in the television film named “In Which Annie Gives it Those Ones” which was written by Arundhati Roy. The film’s theme was life at Delhi University. Shahrukh started his film career with films like Dil Aashana Hai and Deewana. It took no long for him to put forward his talent as he got noticed in Deewana, a film which proved to be a success ladder and Shahrukh won Filmfare Best Debut Award for his mesmerizing performance. Nasreen Munni Kabir, the noted British filmmaker made a wonderful documentary on the life of SRK in the year 2005. This documentary is in the two parts and it depicts his inner world which brings in spotlight his family life and his bonding with his wife and kids. The other part is about his outer world. This part focuses on his work, his films, his career and his achievements. Thus the producer has chosen right name for the documentary “The Inner and Outer World of ShahRukh Khan”. The documentary is nothing but the portrait of his life. In 2006 ‘Still Reading Khan’ got published. This book on SRK’s life has account of his personal and work life. Shahrukh once again proved his achievements when he got his life size wax statue installed in the Madame Tussauds wax museum in London in the year 2007. The presence of the Bollywood actor sparkled in the well known museum and he made India proud. The actor who has never faced any controversies as such and always made his nation proud with his work. He has been chosen “Order des Arts et des Letters” (Order of the Arts and Literature) award of the French government for his “exceptional career”. Recently Anupama Chopra, an author and a wife of Vidhu Vinod Chopra and a sister of Tanuja Chandra( both are the successful filmmakers) has unearthed this 300 pages book about Shahrukh and Hindi cinema. Author believes that ‘SHAH RUKH KHAN AND THE SEDUCTIVE WORLD OF INDIAN CINEMA’ is the book which will uncover some unheard and unread details about the all time favorite Khan. The book was launched on 9th August in the U.S. Being brand Ambassador of the Biscuit Brand called Sunfeast; Shahrukh unveiled the Sunfeast open trophy, ‘an oil on canvas’ painting by Wasim Kapoor’ with Tennis star Sania Mirza on September 12. He is not only encouraging Tennis but with his splendid performance in the film ‘Chak De India’ he brought the national game of the country in the spotlight. He is doing lot more good work to enlighten the importance and the significance of the Hockey. His character of Kabir Khan as the coach of Indian Hockey Team of Women definitely motivated country to bring this sport in light. Shahrukh permanently shifted from Delhi to Mumbai in 1991. His wife Gauri Khan is a Hindu girl. Shahrukh’s marriage was a Hindu wedding ceremony. Shahrukh and Gauri have two children, son Aryan (born in 1997) and daughter Suhana (born in 2000).Shahrukh, The King Khan was also very good at studies. He was the student of St. Columbia’s School. He was good at studies and brilliant in sports and drama. He got noticed for his spirit and received Sword of Hon our, an annual award given to the student who embodies most the spirit of the school. Shahrukh always comes up with new strategies to woo his audience and with his new film ‘Om Shanti Om’ which is yet to be released he has showered his fans with a surprise. Shahrukh has shocked his fans with his new avatar as he built up the muscles. His body looks so well shaped that he will give tough competition to any young star or model. Now it is a myth that SRK is average looking man with average height. The Farah Khan’s ‘Om Shanti Om’ seems to be a good movie as she is always experimented on Shahrukh’s looks. Whether it is Main Hoo Na where she projected SRK with short hair and army look or it is ‘Om Shanti Om’ where we will get to see SRK with long locks and well worked body. Though we could see him showcasing 70s look in the half part of the movie with finely oiled hair and getup resembling yester year Hindi movie star. Now days he is appearing in a short pony tell.Shahrukh Khan hosted the well known Game show ‘Kaun Banega Karorpati’ in the year 2007. The show which had Mr. Amitabh Bachchan as a host in earlier series again proved to be successful after King Khan took over the Host Seat. Shahrukh is also hosting a Lead India campaign and motivating people to do something. It is a campaign launched by the Times of India on the 60th anniversary of India’s Independence. Though crossed his 40s, Shahrukh is still young at heart. He is the youth icon and thus perfect to lead the campaign which will eventually pull out some great leaders of India. Shahrukh has always given hits and he will continue to do so. He has some great movies in his account like Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge (DDLJ), a movie which broke all the records as it is running on box office for more than 12 years now. Shahrukh is well known for his negative roles which made clear he can give variety. Films like Darr, Anjam and Bazigar were well known for his striking performances. In the year 2004 Khan set up his another production company after ‘Dreamz Unlimited’ called ‘Red Chillies’. Shahrukh’s performance was outstanding in the films like Swades, Pardes, Main Hoo Na, Veer Zara, Dil Se, Yes Boss, Mohabbatein and such. The actor has won numerous awards till now and received sky-scraping fame and name. Shahrukh has been endorsing many brands. Since he entered in the industry he has grown up as an actor and as a human being. Shahrukh is full of power, energy and vigor. It is sure that with his enormous stamina he will keep serving his fans with the same vigor and energy.

Salman and Govinda get in pair and rock the drama with two astonishing beauties Lara Dutta and Katrina Kaif. Salman plays the Love guru who has grown up with his sisters and being youngest of all understands women quite well. He guides everyone who comes to him to seek love advice but deny helping Bhaskar (Govinda) who is in love with his boss Priya, (Katrina) a doughter of millionaire. Prem who thinks Priya is out of reach of Bhaskar. Finally after lot of trouble Bhaskar convinces Prem to help him.In between Prem falls for Naina, (Lara Dutta) a journalist in Mumbai Masala, who is a single mother. She is busy chasing Chhota Don with her camera to catch his snap red handed. Prem always comes to rescue her and duo falls in love. When Prem comes to know that she has a son his mission is to persuade the son to let him marry with Naina, though soon later Rohan (Lara’s son) accepts him as a father as he sees Prem’s love for him and his mother. After Bhaskar becomes successful in wooing Priya the main task before him is to get her father’s permission to marry her. The movie travels through lots of twists and turns including misunderstandings between Priya and Bhaskar as well as between Naina and Prem. The last scene when both the couples are on honeymoon is the most humorous. A character like Chhota Don adds charm in the movie though the character could have been sketched more brilliantly. Finally, right timing of the dialogues between Govinda and Salman makes the movie hilarious. It’s become enjoyable as two actors mingle very well with the child artist. Overall it is a lighthearted comedy, with good music by Sajid-Wajid and striking performances by all the actors. Right one to watch with Family.
